Downloading HiPPIE

This is the page where you will find links to the downloads available from the HiPPIE project.  Currently, HiPPIE comes as a single patch file for the Linux kernel which you will apply to your kernel.  To view the files available for download from the HiPPIE project, check out the SourceForge download page for HiPPIE.  Download those files, and then check back in to the documentation to continue getting HiPPIE going on your system.

HiPPIE is currently at version: 0.9.0

Known caveats:

• Does not patch against the kernels 2.6.24 or newer due to a change in the proc filesystem.  This will be resolved soon.
• There is a pretty signifcant memory leak that I'm trying to track down.  If you can find it and fix it, I'd consider a nice reward for the person who does depending on how complicated the problem is. 
• I still have problems with periodic lockups that I believe are related to the new kernel hrtimer structures.  I've not seen it on all hardware, so it might be related to SMP issues or 64-bit issues, though I would lean more toward SMP.  Should be plenty stable on non-SMP hardware, though not quite as powerful obviously.
