There are several pieces to the HiPPIE project, and each piece has a very specific set of licenses governing it. Each of the sections and their governing licenses are listed below. 

HiPPIE Source Code

The HiPPIE source code is the most important part to all of this project, and includes source code to the core structures in HiPPIE, the HiPPIE protocol definitions, and the patch sets used to distribute HiPPIE. All source code considered part of the HiPPIE project are licensed under the GNU Public License version 2 or GPL v2.

This software is licensed under the CC-GNU GPL.

HiPPIE Documentation

The HiPPIE Documentation is anything that is considered part of the documentation set for HiPPIE, including the Installation Documentation, Howtos, and the Protocol Notebook. This, however, does exclude the Theory portions of the website, and any other non-documentation pages of the website. The HiPPIE Documentation is licensed under the Creative Commons License under the options listed below (attribution, non-commercial, and share-alike).

HiPPIE Website, blogs, etc.

There are a few other areas of the website that are not included into the Documentation chunk, and these are also covered under the Creative Commons, but with a little different feel. These sections include, but are not limited to the news articles, blogs, donation, thanks, and other miscellaneous pages on the website. You can find the specifics above.
